As a wedding planner, I am able to turn empty buildings into beautiful spaces on a weekly basis. Usually, my weekends involve blush pinks, pale greens and all things breathtakingly beautiful. Sometimes, having the ability to delve into the forbidden, spooky and hauntingly magical is just what the doctor ordered! Halloween, the perfect opportunity to have both trick and a treat.
In conjunction with AG Skin Atelier, we conjured this Union of Souls Ceremony. We cultivated an amazing dream team to bring my vision to life. The vendors I partnered with love Halloween just as much as I do, which resulted in these mind blowing photos.
Dana Vahl, the beautiful bride, wore a custom C.Rinella Designs gown that was to die for! Look at that lace detail! Marifel Wiesta with Mitchell Christopher Salon created a custom head piece and added five pounds of blond magic to Dana’s already long blond locks. Finally, Adrianna Ghilarducci with AG Skin Atelier, turned Dana into our hauntingly beautiful Wiccan bride.
Grant McNamara, owner of Wedding GPS, provided his custom suit and served as our devastatingly handsome groom. Way to do double duty, Grant!
A wedding would not be complete without cake. Even in a cemetery, a union of souls ceremony requires a spooky cake complete with antlers. Delish Cakes hand crafted this masterpiece and it tasted as good as it looked! BBJ Linens provided the brand new Azari linen, which looked like a spider web. It could not have been more fitting! Marquee Event Rentals loaned all of the rental pieces and the large candlesticks have been in my family for 30 years, they are actually funeral pieces!
When I contacted Meredith Tummillo, from Studio M Creations, to create an invitation suite I told her I wanted to light her invitation on fire! Meredith managed to incorporate the look and feel of a ouija board into the response card. She also created scrolls which contained their vows. Such a great idea!
Can we talk about the flowers for a moment?!? O.M.G how cool are those centerpieces! Nichole Johnston from XO Design Co blew my mind. I knew she was the perfect fit for this concept the moment I met her a few years ago. She channels a little Stevie Nicks and the song Rhiannon pops into my head every time I chat with Nichole. As as result, she managed to pull off the “Good Witch” vibe with her stunning florals and sorcery bouquet.
Finally, this entire concept was brought to life by Gabriel, the owner of Rowan Oak Studios. While, this was my first opportunity working with him, he blew me out of the water. Gabriel’s talent and artistic eye left me speechless. You would be doing yourself a huge favor by hiring him for your wedding.
Together, we battled a swarm of hungry mosquitoes and escaped a lightning storm to create and capture these hauntingly beautiful images. Happy Halloween!
