1 Month To Do List For Your Wedding

You are 1 MONTH away from your wedding! Time is winding down and the pressure is starting to build. More out of excitement than stress. Allow me to take some of the pressure off. Focus on these key items now. Forget about the rest…but not for too long! If you missed the other to do lists, check out the 12 Month List, 6 Month List, 4 Month List, 2 Month List. There is a lot of really good information in this series!

Fashion To Do List

  1. Have final fitting – make sure to bring all undergarments and shoes
  2. Practice walking in shoes if necessary
  3. Select person to drop off gown at cleaners after the wedding
  4. Arrange return of groom and groomsmen attire after the wedding
  5. Pick up gown and any remaining accessories for safe keeping

Guest To Do List

  1. Follow up with any guests who have not yet sent their RSVP
  2. Finalize floor plan and seating chart
  3. Create escort cards, place cards or seating chart – For a description of each, click here

Ceremony To Do List

  1. Discuss ceremony with officiant & finalize details
  2. Write ceremony vows if necessary
  3. Obtain Marriage License – from the county you are getting married

Reception To Do List

  1. Provide caterer final head count
  2. Have final walkthrough at the venue

Other To Do List

  1. Develop wedding day timeline If you need help, click here
  2. Write toasts for rehearsal dinner and reception
  3. Confirm all vendors and pay all final invoices
  4. Keep sending thank you notes for gifts that have come in
  5. Designate someone to be in charge of the gifts/cards at reception
  6. Determine if you will be providing vendor gratuities, for an in depth conversation on that, click here
  7. Pick up all documents for honeymoon
  8. Leave a honeymoon itinerary with each set of parents in case of emergency

I know this seems like a lot of tasks to accomplish, but time flies when you are planning a wedding. Break this list into smaller to manage chunks to not feel overwhelmed.
